“Pearls and Pigs” Matthew 7:6 (Stephen Field)

One of the most unexpected qualities of Jesus’ ministry was that He wanted to keep it a secret! Our answer to every challenges is to talk, talk, talk. But Jesus would just move on to the next place, heal the next person, minister to those who reached out to him, all without fanfare. One of the pressures we put on ourselves is to take the precious work of God in our lives and thrown it around so people can miss use and mock it. We call this “witnessing.” But Jesus reminds us that we don’t need to do this. We only need to speak to those who are ready to listen.
